Well, it’s pretty exciting.
I decided to try out Kindle Scout. Basically, you have a book, you put it on Kindle Scout, and they provide a page for you. People (aka readers) can come to your “campaign” page, read an excerpt of the book, and decide whether they want your book to be published by Amazon or not. If you get enough nominations in 30 days, Amazon pays you a nominal fee, and then helps you market and get your book out on Kindle.
Whoever nominates your book gets a free copy if it’s accepted.
I’m not sure how many nominations you need to get. I don’t have much of a presence on the internet–I’m not a social media demon–so I’m hoping that a lot of people there looking for other things like my book.
