My name is Watson Davis and I’m a writer.

 

It’s taken me a long time to be able to say that without qualification.

I wrote my first short stories when I was in the fifth grade. I only wrote a handful before I moved on to my

other great love — music — and started composing and writing songs.

I’ve been an avid reader my entire life. I love action and adventure in fantasy and science fiction settings, military science fiction, comic books, urban fantasy, steampunk, etc. Through my days in college where I studied Applied Mathematics and began my career as a computer programmer and my days as a guitarist in LA, I’ve always known that one day I would be an author.

One day, a co-worker challenged me to come up with a story that he could illustrate for an on-line comic and I knew it was time.

I’ve worked and honed my craft since then, writing rough drafts and throwing them out, finishing things only to come back to them and realize they were dreck.

I hope you read my stories and enjoy them. I hope they make you stop and think a little. I hope they surprise you from time to time.
